To help residents of Killay we have made a list of the right places to go for issues likely to be of concern.
The City Councillors are Mary Jones, Jeff Jones, and Louise Gibbard(follow the links for their profile on the City and County of Swansea website)
They are the point of contact for many issues.

Killay Community Council remit is limited to:
-Flowers:
Planting in green areas in Killay, including The Precinct and the grass bank outside St Hilary's.
-Arranging events:
Easter, Afternoons teas, Summer Events at the library
Band Night at the Village Inn on August Bank Holidays
Halloween and Christmas events.
- Reviewing and commenting on planning application to City Planners.
- Walking and reporting problems with footpaths.
- Maintaining social media associated with the above.
- Focus point:
For sharing community information e.g posters in the Rotunda in the Precinct, and on social media
- Attendance in Governor meetings in both Hendrefoilan and Dunvant Primary schools.
- Funding small community projects- eg. enhanced lampposts to hold hanging baskets/ Christmas lights.

The Clerk announced that Cllr Bill John had resigned from the Community Council.

2. Declarations of Personal & Prejudicial Interest – SJ expressed personal interest in Father Christmas grotto at Siloam chapel
3. Accepted minutes of meeting dated 27thSeptember 2023
Matters arising – City Cllr LG agreed to discuss with relevant City Council officers matters regarding pollinating plants for 2025 floral displays and bridleway KI105.

The group are contacting various community organisations with a plan to invite them to a meeting in February 2024.
11. Requests for Donations
It was agreed to donate £150 to Killay Luncheon Club
It was agreed to re-allocate the £250 that was for Dunvant Primary canopies, to Dunvant primary outdoor furniture.
12. Town & Community Council Boundary Review
The Council considered several options and agreed to submit a response to the Local Democracy & Boundaries Commission to the effect that the preferred outcome of the review is to extend the Community Council boundary to encompass Dunvant & Killay in line with the City Council boundary.
